Julie Apter at least The Rads give you prior warning these days when they cancel a gig.

Durack . Tough crowd.

Oh what a bummer

A Saturday off in Brisbane.... Hope you get a replacement gig..

Think it was an overdose hehe

Why was it cancelled for

Wow people you have almost a months notice! tough crowd!

The Rads rarely ever cancel a gig. It is more likely an issue with the venue than the band. Brian was once in hospital with a staph infection and snuck out to go do a gig. That’s commitment!

Maybe were never gonna see their face again. No way get fucked, fuck off

Have to be a major reason why these guys would cancel! So hard working!

Roll out the Bowral.. we had a barrel of fun !! Ok another crappy pun.. but what a ripper of a gig!..and it certainly was a fun night in the Southern Highlands on Friday night.

The Bowlo was packed. What a great crowd who turned up for our first gig in the town in at least 15 years. We've gotta get back there a lot sooner than that, because not only was it huge, but the response afforded us was as big as anywhere we have played recently.

Thanks to everyone for coming along and welcoming us to this great venue. Thanks also to the management, staff, and security for the hospitality. They really looked after us and ensured it was a memorable evening all round.

Much appreciated,
cheers from The Rads.

Friday night saw the band return to the Brass Monkey in beautiful Cronulla, for an intimate but rockin' gig. The venue is a mainly sit down dinner and show type venue and is a lot of fun even though it seems more suited to quieter and "acousticy" type acts. We leave behind our big amps and take in small rigs and TURN DOWN !!! ( shock shock 😳) Mark takes in a little jazz type kit and somehow it works .. we get away with it. We had a great crowd who loved it and made us feel welcome. Thanks so much .Support band Hoochie Mama got the audience in a good mood with a great set. Well done boys . The food at the Monkey is top notch too ,so it's always a pleasure to play there and cop a great backstage rider!

Saturday we were back for our annual "Valley Show" at the Dundas Sports Club. We have been playing there once a year for the last four or five years and it's always a great night . A top turn out of locals again who were in the mood to party! Thanks to all you guys n gals for coming out in big numbers to support live music in the area.It was a fantastic night . Once again ,we had a great support band, " The Headliners", who played an entertaining set of absolute classic covers. We had a few dramas trying to get the bass rig going as it had s**t itself and it wasnt looking good. Thanks heaps to another bass playing Geoff ..or is it Jeff ??.. from the Headliners for stepping in and lending us his rig so the show could go on. Much appreciated mateπŸ‘. Special thanks to Sandy ( another bass player )also , for bringing her amp along to help us out. 😘 It turned out to be wiring problems with the speaker boxes not amplifier .All went well in the end and the show went off without a hitch ,and it was a cracker.

Off to Qld next weekend. Woo hoo !

Till next time cheers from The Rads.

The Radiators

It was good to be back, out and about and doing gigs again. After a month hibernation..( it felt like a year !) the Rads emerged from their winter cave for a couple of ripper shows on the weekend. Friday night at Edgeworth ,up in the Newcastle area ,was as big a crowd as we've ever had there. It was our first in the new room there ,with a much better stage and auditorium . We are never ceased to be amazed at the reception we get at this place. Fantastic.. thanks to all who came and gave us such a great response. We have yet to wear out our welcome at the Edgey , considering it's one of our most frequented gigs. We hope we never do.. we absolutely love the place !

Saturday night , it was back up the freeway to the Central Coast and the opening of a new rock n roll venue. Very exciting.. and we were rapt to be asked to be the first band to play at the Ocean Beach Hotel in Umina. The pubs been around for decades but it's bringing live music back in a big way after a bit of a hiatus. More power to them ,and it's obviously a good move considering the massive crowd that showed up . The place was jam packed and it was a huge vibe that greeted us as we hit the stage. Very reminiscent of an 80's gig.. hot and wall to wall punters ready for a good time ! Thank heaps to everyone who came along and supported us and the venue in their effort to give the live music scene a kick along in that part of the coast. Unbelievable night . A total cracker πŸ’₯πŸ’₯. Luv ya work !!

Cheers from the Rads.

Winter had hit Sydney well and truly on the weekend with wicked winds chilling to the bone. A good reason to stay home in front of the fire or heater we thought. We expected a small crowd for our gig at Padstow RSL on Saturday night, especially as it clashed with Australias' opening game in World Cup as well ! Therefore we were rapt to see such a great turnout of hardy Rads supporters on the night. Good on you guys n gals, we thank you so much. It was a really top gig and we appreciate you coming out.

The club has a excellent auditorium and stage and is really right up there with any venue in Sydney. A real pleasure to play there. Nice to see a lot of people resplendent in their best Rads T-shirts as well. Very stylish! Once again thanks heaps for your participation and support . A memorable night indeed .
