Saturday night saw the band return to the beautiful Hunter Valley once again with a performance at the Bellbird Hotel , about 5 km out of Cessnock. A magnificent old Pub it is too . Said to be over 100 years old and full of Spirits...( just like the Radiators!!) 😂
We didn’t come across any Ghosts upstairs fortunately but we decided not to push our luck and stay the night anyhow. 😬
Downstairs it is a great set up with the massive courtyard put to full use and an open air gig that is one of the best and “vibiest “ ( is that a word?..🤔) places to play. A great crowd, bigger than our first time there last year was in attendance, and although we kicked off at what we called the “Pensioner Hour” ..6.45 pm people were pumped and ready to rock.
We thank everyone who made the effort to come along . Quite a few people we met had travelled long distances to attend, so it was much appreciated by us.
A great response and a great atmosphere. What more could we ask for ? It is one of the “Funnest” ( is that a word ??..🤔) gigs going around. Good on the Bellbird for supporting and promoting live music in the Hunter region.
Cheers from the Rads.😎😎😎😎
Thanks Gail Beckhouse for the photo 👍 ... See MoreSee Less

Hoping for some more “Hunter Madness “ when we play at the Bellbird Hotel , up Cessnock way in the Hunter, this Saturday evening . Get there early if you’re thinking of coming along,as the Rads go on at 6.45 pm ! It was a great gig there last time ... hopefully it will be even better this weekend. Rock on .. the Radiators. 😎😎😎😎🎸🎶 ... See MoreSee Less
Only thing that could make it a better gig would be 'mental as anything' as well! 🔥
Young Lions = early Kings of the Sun from memory. Great band.
Wow you guys headlined over both Angry Anderson and the Wiggles 😯
Wow how did u bands survive in 1985. When tickets were $12.50 & $16 at the gate
A James Leydon gig , he did some great concerts with his production
Woo-hoo it was the best concert ever
I was at this very concert at Speers Point. Top day/night. Angry kissed my hand lol
Fantastic poster, all the best for this up coming gig
I wonder how many people realise who the cockroaches are 😍
I almost freaked then. I saw Avion, and I’m trying to see what date they are playing without my glasses, then o see 1985. You got me BD.
What a lineup of bands there hey.
Can you please all come to Caboolture qld and play
I was there too ... got frisked by security and ended up dating him lol

Was an awesome day!
WoW Still time to Party😀
COME to cairns
Ahhh the wiggles before the wiggled!
Another cracker of a weekend! 💥💥
The venue is brand new and what a fabulous and welcome addition to the live scene it is. The Sydney Coliseum Theatre adjacent to the famous Rooty Hill RSL ( now rebadged as City West), is a magnificent structure and a real pleasure to perform at. We were rapt to be invited to be a part of the Pure Gold Live concerts once again. With at least 10 acts performing 3 or 4 songs each over a 3 hour show, it is a hit bonanza for the big audiences that rolled up over both gigs.
Great seating arrangement means there is not a bad seat in the theatre ,that we were told holds 2200 ! A massive stage and a great set up backstage with spacious dressing rooms and dining area that ensures all performers are comfortable and well catered for
A really good camaraderie was evident backstage as well, with all the acts mingling and getting on great. These gigs are fun ,and if you’ve never been to a Gold Live then mark one in your calendar next time one comes to your neck of the woods.
We opened our mini set with Summer Holiday , straight into No Tragedy then launched into Gimme Head which got the crowd buzzing before slamming home with our usual finisher Comin ‘ Home, which included a massive and loud crowd sing along! A fantastic response was afforded us and we thank everyone there for hooking in with us and making us feel so welcome.
Short but sweet.. but a lot of pressure nonetheless, when you are performing with so many brilliant and talented artists on the night ! You just want to do your very best ...Looking forward to more Pure Gold Live in 2020.
Cheers from the Radiators 😎😎😎😎
Thanks JD for the photos ... See MoreSee Less

It was certainly a “Feel the Heat “ day on Saturday! An absolute scorcher that didn’t really forgive, even after the sun had gone down. But this Summer and this is Australia ..and we’ve done plenty of stinking hot shows over our 40 years of Rad-ing. Luckily the crowd that turned up at the Wickham Park Hotel in Newcastle on the night didn’t seem to mind either and we combined for another fantastic night at the “Wicko”.
What a great venue .. an old classic pub with a big beer garden and a more “ intimate “ area inside where people crammed in for a dose of live music. It’s the only venue we can remember, where you actually jump straight on stage from off the footpath!
The atmosphere was electric ..and we hooked in immediately to a typical welcoming and revved up Newcastle audience. Thanks heaps to everyone who came and along and sweated it out with the band! Stinkin’ hot but heaps of fun .. very reminiscent of a typical 80’s gig.
We had the pleasure of being supported once again by Kailey Pallas , who went down a treat and was well received by the crowd. ( why wouldn’t she? Kaileys great !)..thanks again KP.👍
Newcastle.. we luvya ..absolute legends.
Cheers and many bloody beers 🍻😄

Great photo guys, good to hear that everyone is supporting you as well.
Look forward to the band again ,next time you head north to Brisbane ,weather here will welcome you with open arms ,humidity is killing ATM ,it's like a fcking jungle out there ,Rock on The Rads!!!
I know how hot you get. Midnight oil used to have cold oxygen tanks on the side. After a bad night at Sydney years ago. The exit doors were blocked from fans. They nearly fried. 70s were hot. It was a sweltering mess 🦅🦅
You guys nevwr ever fail to impress!!!! . RADS FOREVER 💙💙💙💙
Was s great night. Hot, yes but with The Rads playing no wonder they generate the heat. Love you guys 💞

One of my faves ...they play it a slightly faster pace now don't they?
We think we’ve performed at the Caringbah Inn, the last 3 (pre )Australia Days in a row.
So it’s becoming a bit of a tradition already. It’s like a party before the party gig.
Plenty of people were in the mood to do just that it seems , judging by the the great crowd that rolled up. It was bloody hot as well.. but that didn’t stop the audience or the band ,combining for another cracker night in the Shire.
Thanks to all who came along ,for including the Rads into your Oz Day weekend celebration .
Much appreciated .It was fun !
Cheers and many beers,

Great to be back out on the road again. Our first shows of 2020 after a nice little festive season break. Refreshed and full of energy, we smashed all 3 North NSW gigs at Evans Head, Cudgen and Laurieton over the weekend.
Our thanks to all the great fun-loving people that came out in big numbers to party with the band. Our thanks also to our fabulous support on all 3 nights, the lovely and talented Kailey Pallas. She should have called her tour with us “ A Rose among the Thorns “ 😂.
Looking forward already to Saturday night in the Shire at our (pre) Oz Day gig at the Caringbah Inn.”Oi Oi Oi”
